The real goal behind making money on Ebay is to find/sell those ‘items’ that a large consumer market are always ‘buying’, regardless of the market.

To find the ‘hot items’, for a lack of better words, that are sold month-after-month, check out these two (2) Ebay references:

Here, you can find a LOT of GOOD information, such as what ‘categories’ on Ebay are hot and/or what the hot selling ‘items’ are as well.

* http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/hotitems.pdf

This second resource is a MONTHLY PDF File, composed and maintained by Ebay, which will tell you what categories/items have been consistent ‘hot items’ from month to month. While the PDF file will change with each passing month, the URL above WILL NOT! So, bookmark it and continue to review it every month.

The next thing to consider is finding ‘drop-shippers’ of some of these products. The benefit to having a ‘drop-shipper’ is that when your auction is over, you send the request to the drop-shipper, they then take over the ‘customer experience’ and will handle everything from shipping the product to the customer, dealing with charge-backs and most everything else you can think of that would be common place in any type of transaction.

Another key to being highly effective/successful with Ebay Auctions is understanding all the different types of ‘auctions’ there are and how each one can help increase your sales.

A great resource that I recently came across which outlines everything there is to know about ebay auctions and making money is found in an ebook I came across not to long ago and you can get a copy if you’re interested in taking your auctions from ‘somewhat profitable’ to ‘hugely profitable’. Remember though, nothing is ‘easy’ when it comes to making money on ebay. If it was, then everyone would be selling on ebay, but since we know that’s not happening, you CAN profit from these techniques!

I was actually an eBay powerseller for a while, I got up to $10,000 a month selling expensive phones. Me and my partner would send text message offers to people on craigslist for Iphones, HTC’s, Androids etc. We had 3 phones and we made send a text message from each one making the seller think they were all different people. The first 2 would be extremely low offers, the last one was meant to close the deal. For some reason, things sell a lot cheaper on craigslist than on eBay. I bought a new Blackberry Storm2 on craigslist a few months ago for $200 and sold it on eBay in less than 3 hours later. We wouldn’t even mess with anything that sold for less than $200 on eBay. EBay is a super easy and fun way to get into business for yourself.

I believe if you are doing affiliate marketing, using companies such as Clickbank, then you can just use your SS# and get paid. You don’t have to be a company. You’ll obtain a domain name from go daddy or someone and use that name as your “company name”. However, these customers aren’t paying you directly, they are paying the vendors you are promoting. You affiliate program, such as Clickbank, pays you as an Independent Contractor. So, no, you don’t need an EIN, but you will be an independent contractor and will pay taxes. You should get a form at the end of the year from the affiliate program you are using I believe. Hope that helps!

Amazon is paying you to link to them, you can’t expect other sites to want to link to your sales page for free. Your may be thinking a bit too direct, as if you were pasting for sale signs on every telephone pole.

Successful sites create genuinely useful content to help attract visitors as well as possibly getting search engine ranking and if your content is exceptional, other sites will voluntarily link to your site. Links from other sites are the biggest factor effecting search engine ranking.

There is a ton of competition in the Amazon ‘store’ biz, a longer term plan initially focusing on developing a worthwhile site is probably what it takes to succeed.

There is a blog out there called”blogging to the bank” and therre is also a product called the same thing. Just type that title into google to find out information about making money with your blog. I just got an email today that “blogging to the bank 3.0″ is a new product and it seems like something worth looking into. People in this program are making over $3000 a month with their blogs.

My tip to you is when your blog starts to receive traffic start selling advertising space to places like”buysellads” “adbrite” “blogads” and if you start to get thousands of visitors every month then sell space to “traffic.” These are all great places to sell advertising space.

You can sign up directly to be an affiliate through the actual poker sites or join at an affiliate group.

If you play poker start with sites you like that way when you write a review then you will have an honest opinion and in depth content which is a bonus.

Major sites are Pokerstars, Full Tilt, Ultimate Bet, Party Poker etc and these will pay you when you refer first time sign ups who deposit money for either a one off payment or a % (usually 25 – 40%) of the rake contributed by the player for life.

Google adwords does not accept gambling related sites. Your best bet would be to submit your site to google, yahoo, dmoz, poker directories and also submit to lesser know directories. Forums let you leave a signature even yahoo answers will get backlinks for you.

Exchange links with other related poker sites and update and add more pages to your website at least weekly with new content.

Content and keywords are the major things in regards to building search engine results, better results means more visitors and hopefully more money.

Get google analytics which helps you see how many visitors, time spent and pages visited.

Money can be made through adsense, not adwords. If you have a product then you advertise in adwords (spend money), and then hope to sell the product at a profit higher than you adwords spending to gain more than what you spend (thus make a net profit).

Google Money System? I have never heard of it. If this is some e-book or system online then stay away from it. The only real way to make money off Google is to create a quality website or blog and then insert the Google AdSense code to your pages so that when your users click your ads you will make money. You can join the Google AdSense program at http://www.AdSense.com.

Be careful about get rich quick scams or other programs that promise you will make a killing off adsense. Only YOU can make the difference between success and failure!

I find it interesting to post such a question on something as public as Yahoo Answers: I wonder how many people will post dozens of affiliate links to GRQ programs etc!

Personally, my experience of affiliate marketing is making a little income through Amazon Associates (laptops and books) and a Wholesale Directory. In every case, the pages with the links on weren’t especially promoting the product in question. You could call this ‘passive affiliate marketing’. I did have a lot of traffic though until I sold up.

My current website, I’m focusing a bit more on active promotion where I feature and talk about the product in question. I know you’re not going to like the paid material, but Affilorama offers a free level of membership which is quite good.
